A california lighthouse is the oldest, tallest structure in the state. The lighthouses on Maui are among the most popular destinations in the state. On the Big Island, you can visit the Kula Lighthouse, which is the only one to be located on an island. The Lanai and Oahu lighthouses are considered minor lights. However, they are important landmarks on the map.
The Maui and Lanai lighthouses are on the southern islands, and the Kauai lighthouse is on the island of Oahu. There are a few more on Kauai, including the Laupahoe Point and the Makahu’ena Point Lighthouse. These are a must-see for any island vacation. You can take a trip to Maui or Kauai. Afterward, you can tour the islands and visit their lighthouses.
A kalanianaole highway is the most direct route to the Kalanianaole Lighthouse National Monument. It’s located at the southeastern tip of the island of Oahu. From Honolulu, take the H1 freeway and then follow it until it becomes Highway 72. Continue past Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach Park, and Makapu’u Head. Keep going until you reach the summit of the mountain.
