Lighthouses in Ghost of Tsushima

Lighthouses are important landmarks scattered throughout the open world of Ghost of Tsushima. They serve as a guide to travelers in the dark, and they are a symbol of hope for those who live in the oppressive Mongol Empire. Finding all 8 Lighthouses will earn the player a trophy, and they can be found by searching the world for them.

There are 3 Lighthouse Locations in Act 1 – Izuhara, and 4 locations in Act 2 – Toyotama. Most of these Lighthouses have materials to be looted on the way, so it’s a good idea to check them out if you have time.

In 1274, the samurai of Clan Sakai are besieged by a Mongol army led by Khotun Khan. Lord Shimura and his nephew Jin lead an attempt to repel the invaders as they land on Tsushima Island, but the samurai are overwhelmed by the superior weapons of the Mongols. The surviving members of the clan are forced to retreat, with Shimura and Jin captured by the Mongols.

The first lighthouse you can rekindle is Tsutsu Lighthouse, which will automatically get rekindled as part of the main tale “The Tale of Ryuzo”. You can find the second lighthouse, Akashima Lighthouse, by visiting the Toyotama Region and unlocking the main quest “A New Horizon”. Lastly, you can find Jogaku Lighthouse by heading north from Fort Sakai in Izuhara Region to find the path leading up to it. Once there, you can enter the lighthouse and light up the brazier to rekindle it.
