After stealing hearts and dominating the charts with Hanging By A Moment, Lifehouse returned to prominence with You And Me, a tender love ballad that became one of the most popular wedding songs in the world. The band continued to release quality music after that, but a decade passed since their last hit album, Stanley Climbfall. Now, they return with a new self-titled project that is sure to please their fans and attract new ones as well.
The first track of the album is All In, a rock song that will appeal to many different groups of people. The catchy hooks and the uplifting lyrics will easily draw in new listeners while still satisfying the core fans of this band. The production of this song is top notch and the vocals of Jason Wade are nothing short of impressive.
Next up is Blind, another amazing track that shows off the versatility of this band. This song is a mix of several different influences from pop to RnB and even some progressive rock. It is a very interesting song and one that could potentially be a hit single. The vocals are once again very impressive and the beat (strengthened by a high quality rhythm section) is perfect for this type of song.
This is a great album by Lifehouse and one that shouldn’t be missed. It may have lost a bit of their alternative rock edge but they are still able to create some amazing songs that will appeal to a wide range of people.
