Located on the coast of Cedar Lake, this lighthouse restaurant is a beacon of fun. The establishment is a two-story, 11,600 square foot structure with a full bar, soundproof construction and a wood dance floor. In addition to the bar and lounge, there is also a full-service restaurant with a private dining room.
The Lighthouse’s menu features some of the best cuisine in the area. In addition to the usual breakfast and lunch offerings, the restaurant also offers a brunch menu and a dinner menu. The menu is a mix of traditional American and French-American cuisine, allowing you to choose the food that appeals to you.
The Lighthouse has the distinction of being one of the best places to watch the sunset. They have direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and offer fine dining and casual dining options. They also have a great patio that offers additional seating during the warmer months.
In addition to the usual fare, Lighthouse has a few novelty items on their menu. For instance, the restaurant serves a ‘big salad of cooked and raw vegetables’. This salad includes lettuce, dill, herbs, carrots, octopus, and lots of avocado.
The Lighthouse also has a happy hour, though not just a good deal. You can enjoy interesting wines, local beers, and other eats. They also offer catering for special events. The bar/lounge area is separated from the main dining area, but has comfortable seating and TVs. The most impressive feature is that the bar is not attached to the restaurant, so you can go in and out without having to worry about being disturbed.
