If you want to stay overnight, you can opt to stay in a former keeper’s house and enjoy the history of this iconic structure.
Cape Lookout Lighthouse is located on the Taunton River. It was restored in 1876 and is open to the public twice a month during the summer. This historic lighthouse has rooms with open-air decks and maritime decor. You can even help out in upkeep by assisting with the lighthouse restoration efforts. You’ll feel like a true Maine local at this historic attraction! While staying in one of these historic structures is an incredible experience, it isn’t for everyone.
